Alan Barnes +11 is a project originally put together to celebrate Alan’s 60th birthday in 2019. Alan commissioned his favourite arranger, Mark Nightingale, to write 13 charts for 12 piece big band of tunes written in 1959, the year Alan was born.
Since then the scope of the repertoire has expanded and this Scarborough performance will include several new charts. Alan will be featured throughout on alto and baritone saxes, clarinet and bass clarinet but with plenty of solos from the other musicians as well!
